Reading
Sight words in a bag will be sent home with your child twice a week. There will be an activities sheet sent home with these sight words,also. Please do two activities with your child and sign the ticket. Return to school with the ticket signed and your child will earn a sticker.
Little
readers, that your child has read at school, will be sent home with your child
to read at home. Please sign the ticket. Your child's ticket will
be put in box to draw from weekly.
The first
three weeks of school the sight words will be given rather quickly because most
are words from kindergarten. After we
get through those, your child will get
one new set each week. I will post
those on my web page at that time.

Writing-Writer's Workshop- Mini
Topics being taught: We are working on
coming up with ideas to write. Trying
to use our imaginations with “What if’s”.
Spelling-Each week, your child will
have ten new words and two review words. Pretest is given on
Thursday. If this is 100%, your child will have free time on Friday when
the Final test is given.
