First Grade News
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the exciting
world of first grade! First grade is a
“REALLY BIG YEAR” in your child’s life. Your child will be busy learning to
read, write, problem solve, and many other exciting activities to give them a
good start to a life of learning! I am
excited to get started. I hope your
child is ready to go, also.
Each week, I will send home
a newsletter to keep you informed as to what’s happening in first grade. I will also send a note attached to keep you
informed of your child’s behavior.
I
will be sending home a bag of words and an activities list to work on with
these words twice a week. These are the first grade sight words. You will do two of the activities, sign the
ticket and send back to school so your child may earn a sticker.
First
grade will have sharing time each Wednesday morning.
I
invite you to take a few moments to write me about your child. I would like you to think about things that
might be important for me to know as well as your expectations for the coming
year. This will help me better know
your child.
