(1st Semester)

If you are one of those students that really wants to dig deeper into the wide world of music, this class is for you!  We explore the Basics of Notation, Terminology, Key Signatures, Intervals, Chords, the Building Blocks of Harmony, Voice Leading, and Four-Part Writing.

Learn how composers developed their style even within strict guidelines, and then try your own hand at it.

(2nd Semester)

Starting with music before the 1600's and going as far as we can into the 20th century, this class explores the different styles and composers that made their mark on musical history.

From Bach to Mozart to Beethoven to Chopin.

From Schubert to Wagner to Gershwin.

From Berlin to the Beatles, we try to cover them all.
