GRADING
Functions, Statistics, and Trigonometry
ALL
LETTER GRADES WILL BE ASSIGNED ACCORDING TO THE SCHOOL APPROVED GRADING POLICY.
The
numerical grade in this class will be calculated on the following basis:
DATA COLLECTION: During
the statistics portion of this class, we
will be doing data collection activities frequently.
There will not be a book for all of these, but we will use activities
from various sources. You will be expected to keep a notebook of handouts, notes,
and group responses.
TESTS, QUIZZES & QUESTS: This
will include any assessments such as final tests, unit tests, quests, and
quizzes (both announced and surprise).
DAILY WORK: All homework should be
kept in a notebook or folder in an orderly fashion.
On the first day of class we will vote on whether you want me to collect
this or not. Not handing in any
homework makes test count more. Observations
of group work and productive use of time will also fall into this category.
PROJECTS & PROBLEM SOLVING: There
will be either a group or individual project for each major unit.
These will be long term and will be evaluated as such.
10%--ATTITUDE: Mrs. Gomer’s opinion
shaped by your behavior and productive participation in the class.
It includes your willingness to follow classroom rules and make this
class a good educational experience for everyone involved.
Everyone starts with an “A”. You
determine where it goes from there.
This
grading process may be altered to fit changes in the curriculum.
“Good,
Better, Best . .

good is better,
And your better
is best.”
