Chemistry is an upper level science course. Students will need to master the skills taught at the beginning of the year because those skills will be used and built upon all year long. A prerequisite to Chemistry is Algebra II - students should at least be enrolled in Algebra II at the time of taking Chemistry or preferably students should have completed Algebra II before taking Chemistry. Students will need to keep up with daily work and homework in order to understand the material. I am available before and after school for extra help if  needed.

GRADES are based on the points you earn. All letter grades will be assigned according to the school approved grading scale.

  • 60% of points will come from tests quizzes and projects

  • 20% of points will come from homework.

  • 20% of points will come from labs, daily work and participation.

SUPPLIES: Tablet PC, notebook/paper, folder, pen/pencil,  textbook, a reliable calculator with scientific notation.

MAKE UP WORK is the responsibility of the student. Usually one day is allowed for makeup work due to an excused absence.
