Toothpick Bridges

Fall of 2001

Mrs. Buehner, Deubrook Area Schools, White, SD

Students were given one box of toothpicks and white glue. They were to construct a bridge that would hold the most weight. The bridge had to be free standing with a span of 30 centimeters.

The completed bridges had to have a flat roadbed so the vehicle pictured to the left could travel across it.
