Dakota Valley Scholarship

April 1, 2010

-Applicant must be a graduating senior and a student in the Deubrook Area School District.
-Scholarship will be for $150 and will be given to two qualified recipients (one for each gender).
-Scholarship will be paid in full at the time of enrollment for the second semester.

Deubrook Area Alumni Scholarship April 1, 2010

-Must be a graduating senior and a resident of the Deubrook Area School District.
-Must maintain a C+ average.
-Given at beginning of 2nd semester
-Can be used for college, vo-tech, trade school, business college etc.
-May be used for books or tuition

Jill Landmark Memorial Scholarship April 1, 2010 -Must be a graduating senior and a resident of the Deubrook Area School District.
-Must maintain a C+ average.
-Given at beginning of 2nd semester
-Can be used for college, vo-tech, trade school, business college etc.
-May be used for books or tuition
White Star Chapter  No. 16 April 1, 2010 -Must be a graduating senior of the current school year and parents must be active members of the Deubrook Booster Club.
-Must be from the upper half of the graduating class – maintaining a C+ average.
-Two scholarships will be awarded – each for $250.00.
-The scholarship will be paid in full at the time of enrollment for the second semester of the school year.
-The scholarship may be used at a 4-year college, junior college, vocational/trade school or business college.
-The scholarship may be used for books or tuition.
Milton Sorenson Scholarship April 1, 2010

-Must be a graduating senior of the current school year and a resident of the Deubrook Area School District.
-Must maintain a C+ average.
-Scholarship will be for $500.00 and will be given to only one recipient.
-Scholarship will be paid in full at the time of enrollment for the second semester, to the student and Admissions Office of the school in which the student is enrolled.
-Scholarship may be used at a four (4) year college/university, junior college, vocational (trade) school or business college of the student’s choice.
-Scholarship may be used for books or tuition.

Deubrook Education Association Scholarship April 1, 2010

-Must be a graduating senior and a student in the Deubrook Area School District.
-Must be going on to further education: DEA reserves the right to give preference to graduates entering the education field.
-Must attained a C+ (2.4) grade average in high school and continue with a C+ average in post secondary education.
-One $200 scholarship.
-Will be paid in full at the time of enrollment for the second semester.

Pioneer Award, Steven Davis Scholarship April 1, 2010

-Must be a graduating senior of the current school year and a resident of the Deubrook Area School District.
-Must maintain a C+ average.
-One $500.00 scholarship
-Scholarship will be paid in full at the time of enrollment for the second semester, to the student and Admissions Office of the school in which the student is enrolled.
-May be used at a four (4) year college/university, junior college, vocational (trade) school or business college of the student’s choice.
-May be used for books or tuition.

Lincoln County Corn and Soybean Growers Associations Youth Scholarship April 1, 2010 -Senior who is attending high school in Lincoln County, MN or senior of another high school but resides in Lincoln County, MN or a senior whose parents operate farmland in Lincoln County, MN.
-From a family who is active in agriculture
-Graduating from high school in the Spring of 2010
-Must be active in both agriculture and community>
-Must plan to enroll in a two, three, or four year accredited college or a technical college.
-Preference given to students pursuing an education in agriculture, agribusiness or a food science related program.

Ashley & Amanda Loban Scholarship Fund

April 1, 2010

-MUST have a high school diploma, or equivalent, from a South Dakota school.
- MUST be nominated by an adult in a supervisory position at school, work, church or extracurricular activity. Letters of nomination are to be no more than 500 words and describe the applicants' act of kindness, good citizenship and humanitarianism and the impact of these acts on the applicant's school and/or community.
-Two (2) $1,500.00 scholarships will be awarded for one (1) year and dispersed $750.00 per semester to the post secondary school.
-To be used ONLY for the first year of post secondary schooling.
-The Loban Scholarship Information Form and Letter of Nomination MUST be postmarked on or before April 1, 2010. This should be sent to Loban Memorial Inc, PO Box 8091, Brookings SD 57006.
-All eligibility requirements must be met for the nomination to be considered.

Associated General Contractors Scholarship May 1, 2010

-providing scholarships for students pursuing a career in a construction-related  education program at a college/university

Panzirer Family Public Safety Scholarship July 1, 2010

-Will be awarded to resident or former resident of the state of South Dakota with current residents be given preference.
-Must be pursuing a field in Criminal Justice.
-Applicants who are the son or daughter of an active or former member of law enforcement or who have law enforcement step-parents will be given preference.

Union Electrical Apprenticeship  

-must be at least 18 years of age
-must be a high school graduate or have a GED
-minimum math: completed one full year of high school algebra with a passing grade or one post high school algebra course with a passing grade
-must provide official transcript for high school and post high school showing courses and grades
-must pass a pre-employment drug test
-a friendly attitude and willingness to learn earns apprentices from the respect of their fellow workers
-an electrician’s job involves cooperation and teamwork. An apprentice must work within that team

Army ROTC Scholarships   -Be a U.S. citizen
-Be between the ages of 17 and 26
-Have a high school GPA of at least 2.50
-Have a high school diploma or equivalent
-Score a minimum of 920 on the SAT (math/verbal) or 19 on the ACT (excluding the required writing test scores)
-Meet physical requirements
-Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (Army Reserve or Army National Guard)
